First Obama Came for the Auto Dealers, and I Did Not Speak Out

First Obama came for the Auto Dealers, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not an Auto Dealer.

Then he came for their employees, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not one of their employees.

Then he came for the non union pensioners, and I did not speak out–
Because I was a trade union pensioner.

Then he came for the Catholic Church, and I did not speak out–
Because I was not a Catholic.

Then he came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.

I wrote this statement with inspiration from a quote by Martin Niemöller because no industry, no religion and no person is safe when totalitarians rule.  Martin Niemöller (1892-1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

O Holy Spirit, strengthen us to defend all that is holy.

Evil reigns when GOOD PEOPLE ARE SILENT and refuse to get involved, to change the STATUS QUO!!!

Thanks for this PRAYER! ANd REALIZATION!!! THAT ALL PEOPLE MUST SAY AND DO SOMETHING WHEN THEY SEE THINGS ARE WRONG!!! AND FOLLOW OUR GOOD LORD WHEN HE COMMANDED US “TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU!!!”
