President Obama vs. Catholicism (Conscience Rights, CCC 1782)

President Barack Obama says that Health and Human Services (HHS) can dictate insurance coverage of abortifacients, sterilizations and contraception onto individuals and religious institutions regardless of their conscientious objections.

The Catholic Church rejects President Obama’s violation of conscience mandates.  This right of conscience is expounded on in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC,) section 1782:

CCC 1782     Man has the right to act in conscience and in freedom so as personally to make moral decisions. “He must not be forced to act contrary to his conscience. Nor must he be prevented from acting according to his conscience, especially in religious matters.

Defend your Church and country by sharing this information with friends.

O Holy Spirit, strengthen us to defend all that is holy.

  1. Amen to that. May all Catholics stand up to this and support our Bishops and other Catholic organizations challenging this ridiculous mandate.
